High Speed Copying
A&D Technical Supply Company utilizes multiple high-speed digital copying machines to satisfy our customer’s entire small format black and white copying needs. These systems are based on a revolutionary new next generation platform that combines key applications like copying, printing and scanning with one main controller for total system integration.
Our high-speed digital copiers scan each original once and then print as many sets as required, eliminating the need to continually recirculate the originals through the document handler. This greatly increases the quality of the finished product while protecting the originals and keeping them in pristine form. Full speed duplexing occurs on sheets up to 11 x 17 inches on both text weight and cover stock. Customers may send hard copy or transmit files via e-mail, deliver them on CD or DVD or upload to our FTP site.
Large Format Printing
A&D Technical Supply Company utilizes the Oce TDS 400, 600 and 9800 large format engineering digital printers. Oce’s unique Image Logic Technology produces high quality copies even from poor quality originals. Image Logic combines Oce’s scanning and printing technology to enhance weak lines and clean up less than perfect originals. The Oce printers can reduce or enlarge from 25% to 400% in one step. Maximum size output is 36 inches wide by any reasonable length. Your project can consist of both hard copy, ready to print sheets or digital files or a combination of the two. We can simply and easily mix the two medias together to form a seamless print ready job for any number of sets needed. So whether you need size reductions for convenient storage, size enlargements for maximum presentation or scan to disk for archiving, A&D Technical Supply Company can handle the job.
Electronic Plan Distribution
Conventional Plan Distribution can be stressful and confusing. As soon as a project goes out for bid, the phones begin ringing and contractors begin arriving. The administrative work load immediately doubles.
A&D Technical Supply wants to keep your office running smoothly by handling the distribution of your plans. A&D's Electronic Plan Distribution website will save you time and money. The Job Description page provides all of the job information such as: job description, pre-bid date and time, bid date and time, how to receive a set, where the set is to be returned, shipping information, addendums that are issued, and specification information.
The Bidders List page is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is always up to date. As soon as an order is placed, the bidders list is automatically updated and the order is entered into the distribution system. Customers are able to track the status of all orders, start to finish.
The Plan Images page also allows plans to be viewed online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No special software or hardware is needed. The viewer is simple and easy to use.
If an addendum is issued on a job, we post it to the website, send an addendum notification out to our customers via email, and will get the addendum out within 24 hours.
Plans go out for bid to insure the best possible price for the owners. A&D's Electronic Plan Distribution website allows more bidders to view plans and qualify the bid without having to be issued a set. Our website allows for more qualified bidders bidding on a project than with a conventional plan distribution. More bidders insures the lowest and best possible bid price.
Scanning
We offer a full range of scanning solutions for both color and black and white file creation. Our scanners can accommodate both high-speed production (8.5” x 11”) as well as full color 42 inch by any reasonable length originals. Origonals can be made into a project ready CD/DVD for archival and/or owners and developers. Scanning services include:
Black and white scanning at 190 pages per minute scanning directly to .pdf or Group IV .tif from 8.5 x 11 to 11 x 17.
Black and white large format scans up to 36 inches wide to Group IV .tif or .pdf
OCR- Optical Copy Recognition. We can OCR your small format scans into an editable format in MS Word or Adobe Capture .pdf.
Color small format scanning (8.5 x 11 to 11 x 17) to virtually any file format you need.
Color large format scanning – 42 inches by any reasonable length for digital printing or archival.

GBC Binding
Drilling
A&D Technical Supply Company drills documents to exacting specifications. This means jobs can be printed and drilled in stages at different times and drill holes and sheet edges will line up exactly showing the care and attention to detail your job deserves.
Folding
Folding can take many forms from custom to conventional folds. No matter what your needs, A&D Technical Supply Company can complete the folding requirements necessary to finish the job right.
Trimming
A&D Technical Supply Company can hand trim or guillotine trim any job ensuring uniform size to exacting specifications.
Mounting
A&D Technical Supply Company can mount prints up to 60 inches wide. We stock two thicknesses of gator board and foam core. Other mounting materials such as Plexiglas and masonite can be ordered as needed.
Laminating
When prints need extra protection, lamination is the answer. We can laminate prints up to 60 inches wide. Lamination can be applied to one or both sides of a sheet in matte or gloss finish in 3 mil, 5mil or 10 mil thicknesses. Our staff, including applying grommets or Velcro tabs to the mounts, also provide many other services.
